Greetings saber fans! Today I am proud to bring you a project that I started with Darth Xanthus of the Imperial Royal Arms forum. DX machined the base hilt out of raw aluminum and posted some photos on the board. I contacted him right away and worked out a deal. I saw a ton of potential in the hilt and was very excited to snag this. As I usually do when I get a new build going I contacted Arkhan. I gave him a run down of somethings that I wanted to add to it like the satin black powder coating and the custom dual 12mm AV switch box (complete with recharge port mount) as well as knurling and other finishing touches. As always, he went above and beyond and knocked it out of the park.
This saber is exceptionally strong and heavy. It is unlike most of my builds in that I would have no problem telling a customer that it is "duel worthy". Usually dueling is the last thing on my mind when I build but this one was just meant for it. It is a uni-body hilt with some cool ways of approaching the build. The pommel portion is the only "removable" part. This saber has the longest resonance chamber I've done to date at almost 3". The overall hilt comes in at 11.5". This is also undeniably a "Sith" saber. I added brass accents like the pommel endcap, the covertec wheel, the knurled kill key and the knurled thumb screw. The main 12mm AV switch is a custom engraved piece from Ari-Jaq Xulden on FX. Specs and other details including pics and video are below. Let me know what you think. This saber will also be going up for sale shortly. Enjoy!

Having contributed to this saber, I can attest to its hefty nature. Due to its construction style and hilt wall thickness, its much sturdier than a typical .0125" walled saber. Still, it has an elegant color scheme and attractive lines that belie its heft.

ZahcStarKiller: Yeah I have to agree. I just happened to stumble across spot #1 on the orbital machining Obi TPM run and had the opportunity to purchase it. That is pretty darn close to happiness.

ZahcStarKiller: djcbooks81, My collection is getting pretty fat as well. Three graflex, luke V2, Phoenix Props Kylo, Orbital Machining Obi, and a few custom sabers. Will be looking for a Qui Gon soon, and then I'll be starting to acquire every saber variant from the OT.

ZahcStarKiller: Then the PT. Must have a good Maul and a few clan sabers. The lady of the house just approved my idea of doing a cantina in one of our huge spare bedrooms, so I am starting a Hn in Carbonite (full size) this summer and will probably be starting an R2 also.
