Ok So I'm concittering getting the kit fisto saber I found it for a resionable price on amazon. Now I won't be using any of the guts, I plan on fitting it with a spark And the z6 so I can make use of all the blinkies And not have to make extra holes in a saber . No what I'm wondering is of those of you that have done a simalar conversion what are some things to watch out for.
From what I've seen ofbothers conversions using the pc and cf boards and the tcss conversion kit.witch apears to be not mutch More than a combined blade holder and led heat sink. The actual conversion shouldn't be too hard. Except getting all the blinkies to fit. Otuer than that the switches are in good spots one of them being a dummy switch tha can be made to work. Now I'm just wondering where to place the charge port.
This with the chassis for spark™ and the kit fisto conversion kit from tim at tcss. I will be building this saber from the inside out ( like a true jedi) Again I would like your opinion about theese parts. In my mind I can see the chassis and chamber fitting togather but I'm not sure how i'd get the led heat sink/ blade holder module to fit togather. Also the switches? The kit fisto switches are held on by an inturtnal mounting ring and one of them is decoratave. Just thaughts and plans for now. I'll start getting the parts to build this project verry soon and will update you as I build. Again ya'lls thaughts are welcome.
Ok for all that are folowing. I did order the kit fisto saber. I also got the spark chassis and a crystal chamber from shapeways. I hope that thy fit in the saber properly. But I'm gona make this an epoc revieal saber, I'm also concittering cutting out a slot so you can see the crystal chamberthrew the hilt. Now I'm actually building this saber from the inside out. Like a real jedi.

Hey Thanks guys I did end up getting the kit fisto. I wanted to use spark but the tcss conversion Keith/blade holder was to long for me to use an such switch and j couldn't find a slice for the illuminated tactile switches. I ended up using an obsidian sound board from ultrasabers with a dimable Buck Puck two rgb fast flashing 5mm leds running a ledengin rggb for green and a yellow foc
I'd like to know how to get a hold of the guys that made the chassis for y'all. Hey Thanks again.
To get those out you carefully drill right down the center. That will remove the fake plastic part. (You won't be able to re use the plastic though) then dremel around the inside ledge of the metal part making sure not to scratch the parts that are seen. The idea is to grind down the threads that are holding it in. It's nearly impossible to unthread this without destroying the part. But if you gring it down eventually it will pop out. Then you can mount te metal part on led and send it back through the hole. A lil epoxy will hold it just fine, along with the wires holding it in.

Awesome Thanks for the pointers. The kit fisto is the only ffx saber I own and imo the most beautiful and share to ruin it I mean I already messed up the screw in ones word the pommel by removing the plastic parts inside but I think they can be salvaged by the way here is a link to the finished saber I made a while ago after it was finished
jaltrooper: Hey guys! Dumb question...but are there any t-shirts available, or any other swag I can buy to support the Page?

ARKM: We have challenge coins. Contact Luke Skywalker if you want one.

Luke Skywalker: We never did any swag. There's never enough interest to even break even. My sponsor coin run was a huge success and helped us pay the bills well into 2018 and even gave us the money to fund a couple of one time costs we incurred this year.

Luke Skywalker: As for shirts. I really need to get one for me as well. I've been wanting one with our new logo since we changed over. My desire has always been that this is a site for the members. I consider you all my friends and have no desire to make a profit from

ARKM: Luke Skywalker, hit me up if you want the image I used for the front of my shirt.

Luke Skywalker: Site. I never intend to charge selling fees. The coin drive was a much better way to go imho. As for our logo, name and copywriter and TM's go. I have no issue with anyone wanting to use them. I ask two things. Please let me know prior. If it's crude

Luke Skywalker: and vulgar and casts us in a bad light I simply won't approve it. The other thing I think would be nice is that if our name is used on things like t-shirts that you do make a small donation to help support the site.

Luke Skywalker: My recommendation, and the place I will definitely go when I want to have a shirt done is TRA member defcon. Al's work is outstanding. Al is the Solo's Hold of saber bags and other fabric items. I've had him make me a couple of shirts and several

Luke Skywalker: I think I'm down to about 8 coins.

Luke Skywalker: ARKM what image did you use? Was it the one with SVD's glowing eyes? I'm really curious to see how our logo looks on a shirt. Defcon would certainly need to use the flattened simpler version. For a detailed logo I think you'd need it silk screened.
