Im happy to announce my upcoming OR-LS6 hilts
This time I want to try something new different... instead of launching a run, I would like to approach this "old school" just for kicks: I will machine a bunch of OR-LS6 and sell them when there done. Pretty simple huh?
Here are some pics of the prototype which is about 93% finished (I just couldnt wait )

lots to talk about... General specs/features, inner space, batch size and so on
.-The hilt will hold a 1" blade, that 1" blade shaft will be only 19mm deep so Im machinning it so the blade goes in real tight. .-The control-box will have two tactile switches inside pressed down by the 13-trace PCB (one under the front end and the other under the rear end). Sorry that the prototype looks a bit messy inside though .-The 13-Trace PCB is real copper with a clear coat, the rest of the parts are powder coated to look like real copper, I took this next pic to compare real copper next to the powder coated aluminum.
.-I will draw a diagram showing the inner space. .-Im producing 24 hilts (plus the prototype) and I have enough of the outsourced parts to build a second batch of 25 hilts .-The price is still not clear because there is a lot of work involved other than machining most of this hard work come from filing & sanding, powder coating (not so much) and assembling. So at this point a ballpark estimate on a finished hilt will be between $230 and $330 (best and worst case scenario). .-I will offer RAW unpainted hilts though, and those will go for $180 tops (when I say RAW I mean machining marks and such) Check out the pommels and control-boxes in there raw state

thanks Luke, the boxes and pommels are CNC milled, it is kindda hard to conceive a pommel that was made without a lathe but it was, after I saw the parting line I was able to undestand it was milled in two stages, so in the raw version I was talking about earlier folks would have to file and sand down those milling marks but luckly Im machinning the rest of the thing with smooth finish.
I reduced the size of the LED arrows for accuracy, the triangular LEDs have a 5.6mm side and Im 100% sure the arrows on the original prop are smaller, perhaps 3/16" (4.8mm) per side even 5mm per side but never 5.6mm
Looks very good! What's the time frame for this one to be out? Looking forward for the confirmed price.
Very hard to tell at this point, a lot have been done but there is still a lot of work ahead, Im pretty confident to say It wont be too soon that some of you dont make it on time and It wont be too long that some interest is lost... I will update every aspect of this project ASAP

Still too hard to tell how much time it will take, again I remind you: A LOT is done already: Control-Boxes, Pommel-caps, 13-trace PCBs, Red Triangular LEDs, GOT THE GREEN TRIANGULAR LEDS YESTERDAY!!!!
looks great, but I'm not to sure about 19mm of blade depth if you added 5mm protruding from the front of the emitter like the tccs conversion kit it would of looked more screen accurate with no blade and held the blade better when inserted for duelling purposes. just a thought. probably to late to change now as you have all the tubes cut to length.
Rogue Five: I wish the movie would let you know when there's an end credits scene. I just saw Kong: Skull Island and apparently there was a teaser of another famous monster. Last three movies I saw had nothing after the credits. Just my luck the one time I walk out...

Rogue Five: Why am I telling you guys this? I don't know. I guess I'm a little annoyed. I feel like I didn't get my money's worth lol

Rogue Five: And I never remember to check the internets to confirm

Rogue Five: So to sum up. If you're going to go see Skull Island, make sure to stay after the credits

Rogue Five: And don't feed the monkeys

ARKM: What was that? *ARKM states as he holds out a banana to a monkey*

Rogue Five: And for God's sake man, don't shock the monkeys either!!
