As you guys have seen many cool variations of this saber from the different Smith's who have worked on them. I thought to try a different take on this saber, that I had in mind when Aaron and I started working out the details for the main hilt and reveal section. this saber has been heavily aged with much galling of the metal. The modds that I did to the origianl hilt includes; reworking the control box for a 1.3mm recharge port, I made a new crystal chamber base to act as a coupler for the reveal section's metal pipe, the chamber had a few goodies added including a new crystal mount, injectors, some copper coolant piping, and much heat-aging of the parts. For the reveal, I used one of the Shapeways 1.10" disc tray combos that Aaron and I designed to hold the components in snugly with 8 blue smd accent leds. I wanted to say thank you again to Aaron for such a great base to start with and also my repeat clients that keeps me busy in my shop! Note; Please don't ask me to do this to an already built saber, as I would rather spend my time on fresh projects-Thank you!
This is awesome! I was thinking of doing the same type of thing for my reveal, using a metal piece in the back so that the entire core was metal. Your execution is amazing, I'm sure it will look better than mine once I'm done. I love the weathering too, and that colored section on the grip is an amazing touch. Inspiring as always.
I just saw the laser etching. Sick!!! Looking at it again now on my computer, I say the weatherings is very realistic looking and natural. I always like to see both of you work together and this is what I am talking about. Its as natural as putting Rolls and Royce together. Astoundingly superb works of art, DA and Capt, for the ultimate TFU2 hilt on this planet, bar none!
jaltrooper: Hey guys! Dumb question...but are there any t-shirts available, or any other swag I can buy to support the Page?

ARKM: We have challenge coins. Contact Luke Skywalker if you want one.

Luke Skywalker: We never did any swag. There's never enough interest to even break even. My sponsor coin run was a huge success and helped us pay the bills well into 2018 and even gave us the money to fund a couple of one time costs we incurred this year.

Luke Skywalker: As for shirts. I really need to get one for me as well. I've been wanting one with our new logo since we changed over. My desire has always been that this is a site for the members. I consider you all my friends and have no desire to make a profit from

ARKM: Luke Skywalker, hit me up if you want the image I used for the front of my shirt.

Luke Skywalker: Site. I never intend to charge selling fees. The coin drive was a much better way to go imho. As for our logo, name and copywriter and TM's go. I have no issue with anyone wanting to use them. I ask two things. Please let me know prior. If it's crude

Luke Skywalker: and vulgar and casts us in a bad light I simply won't approve it. The other thing I think would be nice is that if our name is used on things like t-shirts that you do make a small donation to help support the site.

Luke Skywalker: My recommendation, and the place I will definitely go when I want to have a shirt done is TRA member defcon. Al's work is outstanding. Al is the Solo's Hold of saber bags and other fabric items. I've had him make me a couple of shirts and several

Luke Skywalker: saber bags. His merchandise is perfection.

Luke Skywalker: I think I'm down to about 8 coins.

Luke Skywalker: ARKM what image did you use? Was it the one with SVD's glowing eyes? I'm really curious to see how our logo looks on a shirt. Defcon would certainly need to use the flattened simpler version. For a detailed logo I think you'd need it silk screened.
