this is a build log for a saber I purchased a few years ago from Galaam Rendik who was the original builder, in fact the first ever custom lightsaber that I purchased.
the reason I purchased it was I love the brass element of the saber. I then purchased more saber parts from Saberconcepts including more brass parts, and just received a my TFU2 pommel from Solo's Hold.
so now I have set to work on building this reveal core saber.
the reason for the name of Fusion is simple, that's what it is, a fusion of parts from different saber smiths and my own handy work all coming together.
This is how it looked when I purchased it.
so here's where I am at right now.
I have added a centre part and emitter made by Saberconcepts, a SH TFU2 pommel which I have machined back the front edges and also machined some material from the threaded divider to allow the detail of the blocks to align with the grooves on the MJ handle.
and I have also started on the reveal core and have to give a shout out to Goodman as this part is influenced by that creative genius.
the main front handle I have machined back four of the ribs to give more detail and sent it to have a reveal slot for the core milled out as I have no mill at the moment.
On the lathe removing material from 4 of the ribs.
Solo's Hold pommel showing aligned pattern with handle grooves.
milled window and lathed ribs. reveal core front handle and emitter will fully remove Goodman style.
saber all together.
its still a way off at the moment. the reveal core needs more work and a crystal chamber is likely to be added. this started life with a PC1.6 which is still going strong in 97thacolyte's X-men saber.
likely replacement for this saber will be a PC3.5
all feedback is welcome as always.
