Received a couple of blade plugs from Caz and they are awesome! They are an awesome finishing touch for sabers. A+ on service too. Before he shipped them to me he took some pics and sent them to me to show me what was headed my way. Awesome to work with! 10/10!

A little late leaving feedback, but I also ordered a V2 lever from Caz. Post office took there sweet time delivering it, but it was well worth it when it arrived. Excellently machined and packaged. Most importantly, due to paypal issues on my end, Caz worked with me to offer alternative payment options so I could get in on this run. I'm brand new to this forum, but looking forward to more orders to Darkside Engineering.

Also some more late feedback for Darkside Engineering-
I also got a pair of V2 Long Levers, and as mentioned, the packaging reflects Caz's attention to detail: tubing covering the threads, lever in a ziplock, packed in PVC, tape-sealed, packed in densely packed newspaper in a small flat-rate box. This isn't a single layer of bubble-wrap and a prayer, this is serious attention to detail. Caz has a serious case of attention to detail.
The levers themselves are magnificent- clean, elegant, and spot-on for the screen-shots. Darkside excels at custom work, and I highly recommend his work.
Just got a pair of the 7/8" razor plugs in the mail today. They look fantastic. As cool as they look in the photos, they look even better in person. Beautiful job and packaging tough enough to run over with a truck 8-). This would even defeat the Samsonite gorilla from the commercials in the 70s. Incredibly fast delivery and great work. Definite 10/10 experience.
Caz did a lot of machining to clean and improve my RussRep Luke V2 saber, and he has done a perfect job! I couldn't be more pleased about it Not to mention the great looking v2 lever and custome kill key he also made for me.

Just received my Luke V2 lever from Caz. Communication was excellent, lever was shipped quickly & it was so securely packaged it could have survived the Stanley Cup final as a guest puck! I'm not kidding, the lever itself had a rubber sleeve over the threaded section, then it was bagged, then it was taped up inside a sturdy section of PVC pipe, triple bagged & finally placed into a padded envelope. My Star Wars themed Xbox 360 wasn't this well packaged! As for quality, it's just perfect. The shape of the lever, the way it fit my vintage Graflex clamp like a glove & the way it still tightens the clamp when lowered just like the original lever. Even the little square locking plate fits it perfectly! The craftsmanship & attention to detail is exceptional. Easily a heartfelt 10/10 from one very happy customer.
I recently received my razor blade plug from caz as well, and I could not be happier!! The workmanship on the plug is phenomenal, and the packaging could literally ahve withstood a nuclear explosion! I was blown away by the quality of the plug and hope to order another someitme in the future, when I start a new Starkiller build.
Just received 3 razor blade plugs. Very impressed in the way it was packaged. I appreciated Caz's updates with regards the delay of the plugs. Upon payment, the plugs shipped quickly and arrived in good order.
Caz did some custom lathe and mill work for my Vaderlict build. He matched up the Heiland Synchronar vents perfectly, and lathed in a groove to hold the vintage spring element, as well as a bunch of work only Obishane and I ever got to see. He also got the ribbed extension anodized for me which really added to the beauty of this piece. Caz is an incredible perfectionist, which is what I wanted on my unicorn build. Thanks for a job well done.
10/10 Caz did great work on 3 custom length saber plugs I requested. The workmanship is top notch, and the packing... Holy S* Batman! I think a tank could have rolled over that package and not harmed the plugs. Amazing attention to the details. Fantastic communications. Thanks Caz!

ARKM: Sadly no. Well, that's not entirely true. I did finish writing it but did not perform the steps and take pics of said steps.

ARKM: So it's like "Step 5: Using the high temperature temp, tape the paper with the design on it onto the metal part to be etched."

ARKM: ... but there's no Pic 4.

profezzorn: from other things I've read it's just PNP blue with some heat and pressure applied, right?

ARKM: Some use that. I could not get successful results with it but others have.

profezzorn: so what do you use?

ARKM: I personally use glossy magazine pages. I just rip a page out of a magazine and put it in the printer. The pages have to be the right thickness for the printer though. Too thin and they rip in the printer.
