This is my second blade plug order from Caz, and he never disappoints! He finished my R2T plug and shipped it out lightning quick (plus his packaging is always bomb proof), and communication was great all the way.
Ordered 5 plugs from CAZ. Had a nice insightful phone conversation. Very pleasent man to deal with. As for the plugs which we all know are awesome but I'll just say it again. The craftsmanship is fantastic.. The plugs are beautiful. I ordered one s2 shredder on a whim and it's amazing.. FYI anyone who is considering the limited edition brass plug go for it. It's awesome! Got a lil extra heft to it and it looks great. All in all a great big 10/10. Thanks Shayne
Caz/Darkside Engineering recently finished up an install for me for my TFU2 build. As with everything Caz does, it is well-engineered and has a high attention to detail. One of my favorite features is the top-access all-in-one box and buttons where he has the RC port and both metal switches. The power switch is flush and the aux is raised so I don't accidentally turn it off. He did some milling details for the pommel, and confirmed saber alignment for the double female connector. Built to last with smart details.
I contacted Caz a couple weeks back about custom work on a blank US Consular shroud. He agreed and I sent him the shroud along with the covertec wheel for reference and a printout of Mad Cow's QGJ shroud layout. Communication was great as we talked about how we would do the slots without compromising the location of the covertec wheel placement. I am very pleased with the work Caz did for me and will not hesitate to contact him for more custom work. 10/10

What a guy Caz is, very informative and accommodating. I ordered three of the blade plugs I think everyone has by now and the turnaround was fast. I wasn't sure which to get the sanded or unsanded, but chose the first. I think they look great and were just what I needed to make my simple sabers look classy. Thank you Caz! I hope you never stop doing these because I will certainly need more.
Just a quick feedback post for Darkside engineering. I ordered two blade plugs and had a few questions about sizing for the sabers I was having built. Caz was quick to answer all my questions and quick to complete my order. The plugs fit well and look great in my sabers. Thank you darkside engineering and Caz for the great customer service and experience. I give him 5 outta 5 deathstars.
The backstaber saber I bought from Caz is the best saber I own. Caz was very patient with my payments and he was very informative. The saber is very loud and he even got the sd card fully loaded for me before I got it. Everything is very tight and it's very very bright. The igniter 2 is a great board and it is very responsive. All in all its the best saber I own and it was the best translation I've had buying a saber. Overall 10 out of 10.

Stunning blade plug! It looks so much better in person! I can not be any more happier with this. Amazing price and quality Fast shipper and easy to talk to. 10/10. Will probably pick up a razor once my Flex comes in. Thanks Caz!

Caz made a custom heatsink blade plug for me so I can use a 3w laser diode with an MHS body. His communication, attention to detail, and skill is OUTSTANDING. The work was priced very fairly, and completely quickly. He is also quite pleasant to chat with over the phone. I highly reccomend this saber smith, and will definitely be doing business with him in the future. At every opportunity.
Seeing that CAZ was offering his brand new Heat Treated Stainless Steel Plugs that look very similar to his Titanium plugs but for about half the price, I immediately contacted him and asked for the shredder version --- R2TSS-S2 (Shredder 2). Communication as usual was excellent during the transaction period.
I received it today. Well packaged and it's a beauty. Thanks for the quick turn around.
This is the first time I've ordered any custom saber parts from any sabersmith on any forum. I'm really happy with the two blade plugs, R2D2T and R2T-S2, that I ordered from Caz. They both look amazing, though I will have to wait some time before I can actually use them as I'm waiting on the delivery of my first saber, so I don't actually have anything to use them with yet. The build time was fast, completed and shipped one week from when I ordered, and two weeks for it to ship to the UK. I wasn't sure about what to order at first and Caz was really helpful and informative. I'd definitely buy from him again. 10/10
I recently ordered a blade plug. Communication was top notch. Custom blade plug arrived way quicker than expected. The titanium finish is great, especially to go with my purple Mara Jade. See it going well with a Mace Windu as well. 10/10
profezzorn: hey ARKM, did you ever write a that tutorial on the toner transfer method?
Jun 23, 2017 15:50:15 GMT -5
ARKM: *waves hand* "I'm not the slacker you're looking for"
Jun 23, 2017 16:24:16 GMT -5
ARKM: Sadly no. Well, that's not entirely true. I did finish writing it but did not perform the steps and take pics of said steps.
Jun 23, 2017 16:26:30 GMT -5
ARKM: So it's like "Step 5: Using the high temperature temp, tape the paper with the design on it onto the metal part to be etched."
Jun 23, 2017 16:26:53 GMT -5
ARKM: ... but there's no Pic 4.

profezzorn: from other things I've read it's just PNP blue with some heat and pressure applied, right?
Jun 23, 2017 16:37:26 GMT -5
ARKM: Some use that. I could not get successful results with it but others have.
Jun 23, 2017 16:47:16 GMT -5
profezzorn: so what do you use?
Jun 23, 2017 16:47:36 GMT -5
ARKM: I personally use glossy magazine pages. I just rip a page out of a magazine and put it in the printer. The pages have to be the right thickness for the printer though. Too thin and they rip in the printer.
