The original saber bag idea began morphing into new and better versions almost immediately..thanks to all the brilliant minds here at the IRA.
I finally got a free moment this weekend to work out the details and complete a Saber Long Bag. If I do say so, the final product turned out very well.
As with the first rendition of the short bags, I feel like everyone here had a part in helping me create a better bag.
With that said, Anyway input, suggestions or critics on the design are more than welcome.
The long bag has triple the material and a build length of about 45" (this can be adjusted to suit the saber). Reinforced stitching at all the attachment points
and at three points horizontally along the bag to ensure that the outer cloth and liner are strong together and maintain form.
In lieu of the bead to close the bag, I've used a double hole paracord lock Toggle. This closes the bag more securely for this use/application and prevents the blade tip from working its way out of the top.
I have added notes in a few of the photos that speak to the particulars of the design and the function of the bag. I had my brother model for a few of the shots to demonstrate the different ways you can wear and also adjust the bag.
Because of the material and added time, the Saber Long bag will be priced at $40. This price will include a logo just as we did on the original saber bag.
Shipping is $3 in the U.S. International shipping simply request a quote.
I may combine this with the original thread(SaberBags) at some point if you guys think that's best. But I do fear that it may getting a bit confusing and cluttered.
For this thread, I wanted to post pictures and get your opinions.
