Looking for some help with the software programming/setup for a small 3v motor on a Igniter 2 sound board. I am using a shapeways crystal chamber kit from Ammnra. The kit uses a 3-6v micro motor to rotate the crystal chamber. I have everything wired up and it looks to be working fine, except for the rotation motor. I have my tri-cree RBG led wired up to colour pads 1, 2 and 3. The motor is wired up to C4. The positives for the three led's are joined and run to the led + pad. The positive of the motor runs to the Accent+ pad. I did this following the manual provided by Naigon.
I have gone into the Igniter setup app and set the C4 and C4min to max (255) on the blade colour tab. From my understanding this should power the c4 die at full, whenever the blade is lit, but nothing. If i power off the saber and then apply power directly to the two wires for the motor it spins as expected, so I know the connection at the motor end is okay.
I can only think it's something with the settings in the application?
I have two illuminated AV switches running off accent pads 3 and 8 and they work as expected (though they are wired to the main led+ pad to cut down on wiring in the hilt.) I've also tried wiring the motors positive up to the main LED+, just to see if it made a difference, but it doesn't.
Appreciate any advice from anyone who can help. I'm struggling a little to work out all the settings in the app.

Hey, Make sure you have the C4 turned on in the MASTER ini in the config editor, then go through all your fonts and make sure its turned up in each tab that has a c4 option in it , I think there is 3 or 4 tabs in each font you need to adjust. Also run the + wire from your motor to the battery instead of the Positive for the accent leds.

Awesome advice. I hadn't even known about the Maser.INI file so I'll try that and look at re-wiring. I had managed to adjust the C4 in the app (though without the Master.ini adjustment that may not have done anything.)I'll give this a go.

Holy crap!! Thank you @darkside Engineering !! Thank you so much for that!! Exactly what was missing. I wired directly to the Bat+ and checked the Master.INI file. C4percent was set to 0 and there was no c4AD entry. I set C4PERCENT=100 and added C4AD=15 (no idea what C4AD is, but I figure C1 is the blue die, able to take the highest current level so I would use whatever the setting for C1 is.)
The motor now rotates. Unfortunately it doesn't rotate very well, kind of stutters, and moves very slow. Not sure if it's not getting enough current or the shapeways chamber is a bit dodgy. It seems to rotate more smoothly when I run it directly off an 18650 battery without the board, so I think the board is limiting how much power is going to it. Is there any way to ensure the max amount of current is going to channel 4? I have c4PERCENT=100, C4AD=15 (what does that parameter do?) Also have the C4 die set to 255 in the individual font settings.
Making progress and at least it works now. Totally jealous of your amazing DSE crystal chamber though. Don't suppose you sell those as a seperate MHS compatible component do you?

blessedwrath: Finally have more time to actually do things, now that I've left my job. I'm eager to get back into saber building again. ^_^

blessedwrath: As a first step, I've actually messed with TinkerCad a little bit. I've got the first run of custom chassis discs on the way. Gotta test 'em before I can offer them for sale.
