Jonathan of SUMMIT SABERS here to chat about TCSS and Vader's Vault Photon Blade! So far it's only in Green but I've been chatting with TCSS about the possibility of making one that is Pale Yellow or Pale Blue since it most likely can't be white so it can work with RGB for a super bright color changing saber! Here's a link to an awesome comparison video! Looking forward to the conversations! Here's a link to my FB page! Also feel free to subscribe, like and comment on my SUMMIT SABERS YouTube channel!

I believe the OP is referring to the specific kind of blade that Is called Photon(TM), is made with special photoreactove material that illuminates much brighter than a standard blade material. VV developed it. If I am right, then green currently is the only color available. The colored blades are simply dyed polycarbonate and don't have any special photoreactive properties at all.
I think that's a fantastic idea Jsummit. I'd love to see a super bright blue. Talk to Tim about 7/8ths options also.

Actually I think he's more concerned about promoting his FB page but I've been known to be wrong
Photon blades are great for blues but there's even greater opportunities to expand the dies they'll play nicely with. My point is that if you want a good day blade, there are other options at TCSS aside from the photon green

PhotonicBladesmith (his userID) of the FX forums first pioneered the photon blade technology for LED lightsabers (btw - totally worth a read on the FX Forum. PhotonicBladeSmith did a ton of research and experimentation that is well worth a read through). To their credit, Vader's Vault were the first to pursue it and capitalize on it. But I think TCSS is supplying all the blade building materials here for all the players (it's a hunch, I could be wrong, but that's my guess).
Enhanced Amber, Blue, and Red blade building materials are available on TCSS for 1" thin walled blades (ie. photon-ish, but the effect isn't as pronounced). Photon green is available in 1" thin walled and thick walled blade supplies. And I would not be surprised to hear that there are plans for greater variety in the near future (7/8" blades, thin or thick, chocolate or vanilla, you decide).
We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.
Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.
Except when nerf herding; then all bets are off...
No not mostly concerned about promoting my FB page, just thought I share my builds with the community. The main thing is getting input in possible approaches to a PHOTON BLADE not just a colored dye one. A PHOTON BLADE that would work for an RGB color change setup. Also a thick walled blade.

I just wish TCSS would bring back the trans-smoke blade. You could make some very awesome colors with that one. You could even come close to a "Black Blade" effect. My favorite was using a Red LED with the smoke blade. It looked very awesome. We need to start a poll and see if we can get TCSS to get the smoke blades back again.
Wow, the smoke blade was before my time! That sounds cool! I've been thinking about doing a Dark Saber construct! So was the whole blade a smoke tint? This inspires me to start another thread regarding a Dark Saber blade!
Tim of TCSS said he checked this product out in person and wasn't impressed with the brightness regarding saber blades. But what if they could create and insanely bright sheet that runs off a 3.7V to 7.4V lipo? Better yet, if they can print sheets could they print solid rods? Here's a pic of my theory. I have "sheets" written in the diagram, but it could possibly be made of 3 rods as the core!
Rogue Five: Hi Bentley! Where y'all been?

Rogue Five: Sandpeople-Cool! I don't have any of the Noble Collection swords but I have a few of the United Cutlery ones and they are superb replicas as they're modeled directly from the original props. If you're interested in buying another one, I highly recommend

Rogue Five: Anduril. I have one and it is gorgeous and sturdily made. I believe it is a full tang sword so you could swing it around without it flying apart. Trust me, you'll feel like the King of Gondor holding this thing lol.

ARKM: "full tang United Cutlery" is an oxymoron.

ARKM: That does not mean that they aren't nice for hanging on the wall though. I have a UC Kurgan sword. I like it.

Rogue Five: Yeah I wouldn't go looking for a fight with any wall hanger swords lol. I think Anduril and Strider's Ranger sword are the only full tang swords in the LOTR line.

Rogue Five: I looked into getting a functional Anduril from a custom swordsmith but no one I found made a screen accurate one.

Rogue Five: That Kurgan one is nice. Sword afficianados like to dump on it because it has a two piece blade and they're right but who cares! It looks bad a**
