Obishane worked on 4 sabers for me this last month- He completed a MR Anakin conversion, repaired a prior Anakin conversion, repaired and added a new optic lens to a Yoda conversion, and diagnosed and added a new battery holder to a VV stunt.
Obishane provided many options for the work, was highly collabrative, offered mid-process pictures, pm's and phone calls. Pricing was solid. He goes the extra mile, and then some.

I purchased a couple of 7.4V battery packs from Shane recently. As always his communication was great, the packaging was good and solid and he was just a pleasure to deal with. I've been buying parts from him since I first joined the saber forums and I'll definitely deal with Shane again.
Shane gets extra points for throwing in a free RGB led as well! Totally unexpected. Thanks so much buddy!!!

Shane took up the challenge of making me a custom 3-level stand for my OT saber collection. As other have experienced, his communication was amazing - he provided pics whenever possible and was very up front and involved in the entire process. Fabrication and shipping was also super efficient. I will be posting pics in my request thread later this morning - it is STELLAR! I can't recommend him highly enough 10/10

Shane sold me a Beautiful converted FX saber as well as a darth maul battery pack. Being new I feel very fortunate to have had a great first experience with someone in the saber community. He's definitely an A+ guy. Can't wait to get some displays made by him! 10/10

Shane bought an 18650 battery pack from me a while ago and I never got around to posting his feedback. Unfortunately the pack didn't turn out to be exactly what he was looking for, but that aside, he was great to deal with. Paid promptly and had great communication.
He didn't even take me up on my offer to send him a different one. Stand up guy, speaking of stands, have you SEEN the stands this guy builds?!!!

I bought three calculators from Shane for a Graflex build, a buddy's Graflex build, and one for keeping around the house. He was great to work with, and get them sent up to me, even with me being in Canada. Great communication, shipped quickly, and they arrived today in great condition. Thanks so much!
I'll have a full feedback and review at some point, yet til then . . .
Obishane completed my heiland/derelict smash-up with some near impossible goals that I set out for the control box (a RC port and an aux switch in a 2.5cm x 1cm x 1.5 cm-ish vintage control box). He also helped me explain to Darkside Engineering what my build ideas were for a custom blade-holder. On top of all this, Obishane had to learn and program an igniter R4, which works great with this build.
ObiShane was easy to communicate with, has a fine attention to details, and will certainly have my business in the future-
Picked up the Obi-Starkiller from Obi-Shane: 10/10 My review: Design: By far my favorite Saber ever Created in the whole Universe. The attention to detail is second to none. Every little thing from weathering, Machining, and Assembly is so telling of Obi-Shanes craft. Pictures can't even show the beauty of it.. they just can't until you have held it in your hand you can't appreciate it... The Design: Taking all the best qualities from the Graflex, Mara Jade, and the Obi-Wan creates a masterpiece Mashup... The electronics: I removed the bottom of the Hilt and the SD card is easily accessible, and the Chassis is perfectly crafted to display the expertise in designing and constructing this Saber. The Fonts and Colors have been painstakingly matched to give the greatest experience from the LED and CF Combination.. The AUX button is actually the Graflex red button and the Activation box house the rice and recharge port.. Let me tell you the way he heated the Graflex metal shroud to produce the gorgeous blues and purples was a over the top touch.. I can find no flaw whatsoever and the combinations of Fonts and Colors are going to keep me busy for the foreseeable future just to exhaust the UBER cool factor of this thing.. Just to look at it melts your brain, then you turn it on. It's loud and the sensitivity is dialed in so perfectly only someone that has spent days fine tuning with R.I.C.E. can appreciate the absolute perfection of Obi-Shanes accomplishment on this thing... I would put Shane in the Annals of the Jedi legends on this one.. I feel honored that I am the proud owner.. I will try to get a video up soon..
Shane's been supplying me more than plenty of Econo boards, just received another shipment last week! Again, excellent service, super fast shipping and generally one of the best fellas to deal with! Thanks once more!
I commissioned Obi-Shane to build me some of his Custom Plaques and Cases, I think very highly of his work, he is a great artist.. Well deserved 10/10, super communication, and great packing job, lots of insurance, and sent tracking with his shipment. I know how much work goes into on e of his pieces since I own several.. I appreciate the blood sweat and tears my friend.. Thank You, Tron

Mr. Obi-shane completed a re-working of an old SF install that got blarged up by a preivious installer, and he added in two really bright accent LED's. He also re-build a saber about 3 times for me as it when from a PC 1.4 to a Igniter Mini, and then had some part failures. Solid work as always. picts will come along soon.

Thanks Obi-Shane!!!! I bought a MKIII and it arrived in perfect condition. Fast shipping and was more than helpful with questions I had. To EVERYONE- No worries with this guy, I give him a 10/10. And he's a awsome saber-smith to boot!

Asked O-S for help w/ an install on a hilt that I received to replace one that was lost by USPS. The bad news- no less than 3 prominent smiths (including himself) that were contacted, recommended not doing anything with the hilt due to its apparent fragility and poor machining . All declined the project. The good news - O-S polished it up so it's nice and shiny (despite some still very obvious flaws) for me to use as a static display, doorstop, or world's greatest toilet paper holder His communication, demeanor, and honesty were and are outstanding. I look forward to working with him in the future on a more viable project TBD in 2014. 10/10

ARKM: Sadly no. Well, that's not entirely true. I did finish writing it but did not perform the steps and take pics of said steps.

ARKM: So it's like "Step 5: Using the high temperature temp, tape the paper with the design on it onto the metal part to be etched."
Jun 23, 2017 16:26:53 GMT -5
ARKM: ... but there's no Pic 4.

profezzorn: from other things I've read it's just PNP blue with some heat and pressure applied, right?
Jun 23, 2017 16:37:26 GMT -5
ARKM: Some use that. I could not get successful results with it but others have.
Jun 23, 2017 16:47:16 GMT -5
profezzorn: so what do you use?
Jun 23, 2017 16:47:36 GMT -5
ARKM: I personally use glossy magazine pages. I just rip a page out of a magazine and put it in the printer. The pages have to be the right thickness for the printer though. Too thin and they rip in the printer.
