The Inevitability of Neopixels Sept 3, 2017 21:09:40 GMT -5

Which is why open source is so cool, because it means that anybody can add effects, not just the creator. Doesn't matter if the effect you want is already there though.
One of my favorite neopixel effects is to make the leading edge white during ignition. The effect is subtle, but gives the ignition some extra pop.
If I enjoyed tinkering with electronics more, I'd be all over the open source stuff. I like the effects I've seen but my goal in the hobby has always been to create the most accurate replicas possible. I haven't seen any effects that really add to the illusion. Well, the ignition/retraction but that's on all string/np blades. If nothing else, I love the spirit behind it. You've put countless hours into coding, testing and instructions just to give it away for free. Not many people would do that and my hat's off to you. Personally, the Plecter boards have always met and really exceeded my needs. There are features on the CF I never use so I've never gone looking for more.
Plecter adding neopixel support is exciting because it makes it more accessible to those of us that don't have the time to dedicate to it. It's an easy upgrade.
