Thanks Aaron. I just needed an installer. Wade has stepped up so I'm good to go.
What I'd like from you guys are some simple emails to Noah. Take a pic of you, your family, whatever and not a note to Noah. Let's show Noah that people care for him. Let's reverse the damage these kids in his class did. My email is above. Or shoot me a pm for my mailing address for notes. I think emails that I can print are the easiest way to go for everyone. I will assemble all the notes in a Star Wars scrapbook.
Pics in costume would be great for those that troop.
If you want to PM me your email I can do that with pics instead of snail mail. Who really prints pictures anymore anyways....well I guess you will be.
Just pay no attention to that sound in the bushes after 2am now that I have you home address. Heheheheh
Roger that. I agree as well. Address on request via pm and what the heck. Here's my email. Nautique04@icloud.com. I said snail mail originally so Noah would have hand written notes. I think it would be more personal. I'd recommend writing him a note by hand vs typing out an email. Then just take a pic of the note and email it to me. That way when I print them out they would all have a more peronal feel.
I'm going to break all forum rules with this pic but I don't care. This bullying angers me that a 13 yr old would resort to suicide. We see suicides by kids down to 6 yrs old in the news on a regular basis. I want to encourage Noah as best we can.
This is Noah's junior high yearbook that was returned to him when they threw it at him.

Yoda says he's quite to the point then posts the biggest post in the thread. I'm thankful we dont pay proboards by the letters.
Seriously though. Yoda all great points and I agree wholeheartedly. I couldn't have said it better myself. As much as I didn't like the PT, I actually did enjoy the Phantom Edit series with the removal of Jar Jar. They still weren't as good as the OT but they were more enjoyable.

I seem to recall hearing that one of the reasons for the last minute reshooting and editing of Rogue ended with them adding the Darth Vader slash attack scene. Like Disney or hate them, if they pushed for the ending scene that's awesome. The final 10 mins of Rogue one is one of my all time favorite scenes of ANY Star Wars movie. It was awesome.

My partners in crime are jumping on this, so for me it's a go. I know we just came off our coin fundraiser and I'm stressing that I don't want you guys to contribute anything. You guys rock. I do have one request that's cheap and will leave an impact on this boy.
Noah went to school to have his class yearbook signed by the kids at school. They signed it and threw it at him. The words and phrases written wouldn't get passed our swear filters. He was repeatedly told to kill himself, to die etc. Noah has been bullied throughout the year and this was the final straw the left him moments from committing suicide.
I'd like it if we could make him a Star Wars yearbook. I'd love to have as many forum members as we can send me a note for Noah. I'd then attach them all to some type of Star Wars yearbook. I have a Star Wars scrapbook that might work. We have one month.
Noah is a huge Star Wars fan. It would be really cool for those of you with costumes to include a pic in your garb with your note.
I don't want to post my address publicly. Many of you already have it from the coin drive or other dealings with me. If you need it please shoot me a pm. You're free to pass my info around to each other via pms as well.
You guys can even email a note for Noah that I'd print out.

There's a young boy I came across that was bullied into committing suicide. He'd planned to drown himself. Fortunately he opted out of suicide. The bullying has been going on all school year but finally pushed Noah over the edge with the latest end of year incident. Like many kids, Noah passed out his yearbook to be signed by his classmates. They wrote in it and threw it back at him.
I spoke with his mom and he's a huge Star Wars fan. I'm going to be in his home town on my normal route in one month. My plan is to meet him in my armor and present him with a saber.
What I'd like from you guys are notes for Noah. Please email me a quick note. Pictures of you, your family or pics in Star Wars costumes would all make it more personal for Noah. I want to flood Noah with positive notes of encouragement so that if there's a next time when he feels bullied and alone he can be reminded that strangers took the time to encourage him. I will print out all of the notes and put them into a Star Wars scrapbook/yearbook for Noah.
All notes for Noah can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. I'd recommend hand writing them and including a pic if you can. The more personal we make it the better.
Installer found. Thanks Wade.
I'm looking for someone that would be interested in doing a simple Graflex 2.0/Spark install. I'm swamped over the next month and won't have time to do it. I'll purchase all the parts. I'm just looking for a "charity" installer.

Just as long as the opening scene doesn't have Han Solo walking with his dad carrying a fishing pole and whistling. Ron can't do worse than fhe PT. I think we're safe. I think Kathleen learned from that debacle. For the most part I like TFA and Rogue. There will always be things we don't like about the episodes. What's important is that they try to keep the familiarity alive. New ideas are great but it still needs to scream Star Wars.
That original Batman movie is pure gold in terms of comedy plus action. Adam West was a true fan's fan and was awesome to interact with from all the people I know that saw him. Prayers to his loved ones in a sad time.
Best one liner. Batman is running up and down the pier trying to toss a lit bomb. He keeps running into pedestrians and a family of ducks etc. Exaspirated, he yells..."sometimes you just can't get rid of a bomb."

Its funny how many shows from the sixties never got past a few seasons and were often bashed by the critics......yet fifty years later they still have a cult following. My sons have the entire Batman DVD set and watch it regularly. Along with The Brady Bunch, Scooby Doo Where Are you and many others.
Adam West was type cast after playing Batman and could have had a much more lucrative carreer. Yet his legacy is still a huge one that will never be forgotten.

Yesterday I had the coolest coin mailing to date. As I was packaging up the coins I realized that Davy Jones lived 25 mins away. We met up and I was able to hand deliver his coin. It's always great to meet a fellow TRA-ian. I've got you in my list jcru.
profezzorn: hey ARKM, did you ever write a that tutorial on the toner transfer method?
Jun 23, 2017 15:50:15 GMT -5
ARKM: *waves hand* "I'm not the slacker you're looking for"
Jun 23, 2017 16:24:16 GMT -5
ARKM: Sadly no. Well, that's not entirely true. I did finish writing it but did not perform the steps and take pics of said steps.
Jun 23, 2017 16:26:30 GMT -5
ARKM: So it's like "Step 5: Using the high temperature temp, tape the paper with the design on it onto the metal part to be etched."
Jun 23, 2017 16:26:53 GMT -5
ARKM: ... but there's no Pic 4.
Jun 23, 2017 16:27:10 GMT -5
profezzorn: from other things I've read it's just PNP blue with some heat and pressure applied, right?
Jun 23, 2017 16:37:26 GMT -5
ARKM: Some use that. I could not get successful results with it but others have.
Jun 23, 2017 16:47:16 GMT -5
profezzorn: so what do you use?
Jun 23, 2017 16:47:36 GMT -5
ARKM: I personally use glossy magazine pages. I just rip a page out of a magazine and put it in the printer. The pages have to be the right thickness for the printer though. Too thin and they rip in the printer.
